January 13, 2021

In 2020, Colten completed his Construction Engineering degree at NC State University, where he first began playing volleyball. Colten joined the NC State Men’s Club Team, serving as an outside hitter for 4 years. His senior year team placed 5th nationally in the highest division of D1, the strongest finish in program history. Colten also helped found the NC State Outdoor/Beach Volleyball team, which competes against other local universities in beach volleyball.

Colten regularly competes in outdoor AVP grass volleyball tournaments along the east coast, with multiple Open Division & AA wins. When he is not playing volleyball, he enjoys going to football games, spending time with friends, and managing various construction projects in the Raleigh-Durham area.

Colten coached for Carolina Chaos Volleyball for 4 years prior to Advantage, serving as head coach for 3 of those years. He has coached a variety of ages and skill levels, ranging from Regional to National level and ages 15-18. He wants to share his love for the game and grow the sport through developing well rounded athletes. Colten is very excited to be joining the Advantage family for this season!
